The Three Musketeers
Solano College Theatre Department presents Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers, adapted by Charles Morey and directed by Edward Hightower.

This action-packed adventure follows Alexandre Dumas  himself (Rick Steele) as he struggles to complete his epic of duels and derring-do in time to meet his deadline -- while the iconic Musketeers (Adam Wayne Gistarb, Aaron Flores, and Nick Reckmeyer), irrepressible D'Artagnan (Levi Duncan), alluring Milady DeWinter (Janelle La Riza), and cunning Cardinal Richelieu wreak havoc through his imagination. The stakes are high as Constance Bonacieux (Salina Conse) desperately attempts to save Queen Anne (Alison DeSouza) from the fiendish plots of the Cardinal. Dumas follows his bold characters through France and across the Channel to England in a hilarious glimpse behind the curtain of creativity.

Charles Morey (playwright) served as Artistic Director of the Pioneer Theatre Company (Salt Lake City, Utah) from 1984 to 2012 where he directed more than ninety productions. In May of 2012 he was named Artistic Director Emeritus and currently splits his time between Utah and New York City focusing on free-lance directing and writing projects.

Edward Hightower (Director) continues his work in Bay Area and Regional Theatre with this stellar production. Local directing credits include The Wizard of Oz (2011) and Thoroughly Modern Millie (2010), both for SCT. Local and regional acting credits include the Emcee in Cabaret for Napa Valley Broadway Playhouse (2012), Warbucks in Annie (2011), Max Bialystock in The Producers (2009, Elly Award: Best Actor), Freddy/Phillip in Noises Off (2008) and Frog in A Year With Frog & Toad (2008). Farther-flung regional credits include: TheatreWorks, Berkeley Rep, PCPA and Idaho Falls Theatre Center. Edward traded his soul for a BFA in Theatre from The Boston Conservatory.

Solano College Theatre Department has been producing award-winning regional theatre in Solano County for over twenty years. As a training ground for young artists and technicians, SCTD excels at bringing students into direct working contact with regional theatre professionals of every discipline, thereby maximizing the quality of our students' training and thus more fully preparing them to compete in the professional marketplace. Recent award-winning productions include Distracted (2012), Eurydice (2011), Our Town (2010), The Producers (2009), Noises Off (2008). With a commitment toward diversity and ever-evolving theatrical excellence, Solano College Theatre Department continues to dazzle and delight audiences with every production.
