Strolling in Yukata 2013
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is proud to annouce the return of Strolling in Yukata, our annual Spring event. We welcome you to join us on April, 27th, 2013 for a wonderful day of culture and entertainement while you enjoy the company of friends and family.
This casual event offers a unique set of artists both to admire, and to interact with. Learn and participate with Tai Chi, Yoga and Ondo (Japanese folk dance), while getting energetic and excited with Taiko drums and Jazz, as well as meditative mood with the sounds of Tibetan and Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls. Feeding the koi and creating Japanese novelties at the crafts tables are always fun for the kids. The fees for non-members: $30 for adults and $15 for children (under 12). Fees for members: $25 for adults and $10 for children (under 12). Price includes light meal and beverage. Sake lectures for those enthusiast as well as beer and plum wine (for additional fee). Local vendors will display their cultural wares. This event caters to all ages.
