The Imaginary Invalid
You certainly wont have seen a French Farce quite like this one! Moliere's "Imaginary Invalid" is an irreverent satire on the medical world and those that LOVE to use it. Bringing the 17th Century playwright into the glittering and questionably tasteful 1970's - complete with flared trousers, cheesecloth and disco tunes! -NPA's production promises to capture the original spirit of Moliere's biting wit and blend it with some cheeky acerbic youthful attitude. The roots of much of today's comic literature and entertainment shows can be traced directly back to the anarchic and playful comedies of Moliere that shocked and delighted the French Court. Now this production will make you laugh and occasionally make you cringe. Doctors, nurses, therapists, enemas and big big dance routines are all there to enjoy! Sometimes the theater needs to be a place to laugh - at the actors, at the world around us and ourselves
