Tucked away in the wilds of central Washington State, two rural Canadian girls await the arrival of a man set to change their destinies forever. For one, he represents a past that still haunts her and a love that won't die. For the other he brings the promise of a new life, in which unspeakable horrors can be washed away. Finally, the arrival of a small time gangster with big ideas reveals the ultimate truth for everyone and threatens to rip away what little control they ever thought they had over their fate.
