CREW 2013 Wildflower Festival
The annual CREW Wildflower Festival has become a much-anticipated tradition in southwest Florida. 2013 marks the 11th year that the CREW Land & Water Trust, in cooperation with the South Florida Water Management District, is hosting this annual festival to celebrate the wildflowers and wildlife of CREW.
Admission to the festival grounds is FREE and includes exhibits, demonstrations, presentations, food vendors, and special kids' activities.
Expert botanists and naturalists lead guided hikes for the public (each hike is approx. 1.5 hours long). Guided hikes require a fee and pre-registration. Q&A
Question: |
I was reading the article in Tropicalia, and it said hikes will be lead at its cypress dome nd marsh trails near Estero. Then while looking to sign up, it then lead me to believe that it was being held in Immokalee?
Thanks |
Answer: |
The CREW Marsh and Cypress Dome Trails are 14 and 18 miles east of I-75 from Exit 123 on Corkscrew Road. So, to get there, you travel east of Estero, but the physical addresses for both trails is Immokalee, because both trails are in northern Collier County. For directions to the Cypress Dome Trails (where the festival will be held and where you check-in for all hikes) please visit the CREW Trust website at crewtrust.org.
