The Art of Beekeeping Workshop with Backyard Bees
Janet Andrews and Kelly Yrarrazaval, co-founders of Backyard Bees, began rescuing and relocating local honeybee colonies in 2007. With the plight of the honeybee in decline, these two women beekeepers, gardeners, and mothers have resurrected the art of backyard beekeeping.
The Art of Beekeeping workshop will cover the following:

- The inner workings of the hive
- Plight of the honeybee
- Sustainable beekeeping methods vs commercial beekeeping methods
- Beekeeping Equipment/Getting started
- Benefits of honey
- Bee Friendly Gardens
- Hands-on honey collecting
