St. Lawrence Arts is hosting its annual house party fundraiser on Thursday, February 28, 2013 and we are excited to have Rod Picott performing for us at the home of SLA Board Member Chris Akerlind, 44 Monument Street, Portland.  This will be a memorable evening of music, food, drink, and fun!Space is very limited, tickets must be purchased in advance.

Rod Picott grew up in South Berwick, Maine where he became friends and formed a band with another Maine music icon, Slaid Cleaves. Rod is a truly gifted singer songwriter and guitar player. He released his debut album Tiger Tom Dixon's Blues in 2001 and has had a prolific career ever since. He recently released album Welding Burns received critical acclaim and spent 10 straight weeks on the AMA chart. He was voted Songwriter of the Year 2011 by the Freeform American Roots Radio reporters, and Male artist of the year by the FAR Chart reporters.
