| Description |
| Premiering April 4th in the black-box theater, Studio 250 at Off-Market, PianoFight Productions presents a three month competition of fully staged, short plays, by a myriad of writers, where each piece is scored by the audience. The two lowest scoring pieces are then replaced two weeks later by two brand new fully staged shorts. The writer whose script receives highest raw score will be offered a four week run of an original full length play, to be produced by PianoFight, in Studio 250 at Off-Market. /// While we would love to tell you what you will be seeing on stage, due to the ever changing nature of the show, that task is a little tricky. However there are a few definite elements of this production: the audiences attending ShortLived will choose the writer of a full length PianoFight production; someone from that audience could end up being a writer for ShortLived; there will be new shorts added every two weeks; line-ups and voting results will be posted bi-monthly on pianofight.com; the show consists of short comedies and dramas, all expertly written, and all brand spanking new to the general public. /// ShortLived, a fully produced competition of short scenes, the winner of which is invited to write an upcoming PianoFight production, will have a limited run of three months, beginning April 4th at 8:00 pm, in the Off-Market Theater, on Friday and Saturday nights, at 8:00 pm. /// PiANOFiGHT PRODUCTiONS: PianoFight Productions began in July of 2007 when Dan Williams and Rob Ready became idle and bored with whoring/boozing and decided to put their efforts towards more practical purposes producing new work on stage. PianoFight Productions has since taken over a theater, produced original works, premiered all-new shows, created and developed an online web series, and cut a short film, all while remaining true to its commitment of producing new work by new artists. NOTE: No-one under 16 years old will be admitted. |
