The Metro Chamber Orchestra continues its tenth season with a concert celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Giuseppe Verdi on Saturday, February 23rd, 2013 at 8 PM. This gala concert features the great arias and scenes from the operas, Nabucco, Attila and Don Carlo and will conclude with the Triumphal Scene from Aida; grand opera at its grandest. Joining the MCO for this very special concert will be the Brooklyn Wind Symphony and the Brooklyn Conservatory Chorale; 125 performers in all! An international cast of soloists led by Metropolitan Opera baritone Theodore Lambrinos will also take part. Also performing are bass Gregory Sheppard, tenors Luis Yo, K'idar Miller and soprano Therese Panicali. The concert will take place in the sanctuary of St. Ann & The Holy Trinity, 157 Montague Street, Brooklyn, NY. All tickets $25.
