Hooliganc Comedy Club and Live Music Presents...
Disheartened with the traditional stand up comedy scene, travelling comics Matt McInnis and Matt Keck joined forces to set aside "club comedy" and "club material" to bring their true love, nerd comedy, to cons and like minded fans across the country. The project that developed is a two man stand up comedy and variety show that has been welcomed by stages, fans and conventions far and wide. Straight Outta Comicon includes stand up comedy, music, sketchwork, improv, audience participation, and a staggering level of fandom. Matt Keck has been a standup comedian since late 2009, and in that short time his videos have appeared on such programs as Comedy Centrals Tosh.0, G4TVs Web Soup, RudeTube, TruTVs Clipaholics, and Right This Minute. He is also set to film his first feature film The Genesis of Lincoln in early 2012.
Matt is clearly no stranger to the internet, providing comic book reviews to literacy website www.lipserviceink.com, a weekly addition to the standup podcast Comedy A Go-Go, and running his personal blog SpaceDynamite!!!. His forte, however, is his YouTube channel, where he has 14 million views and rising, amassing over 1 million more views each month. His most notable video is the viral hit Im a Snake.
Matt McInnis is a stand up comedian, actor, writer, producer, director as well as a lifelong geek and gamer. As a classically trained actor, his performances began in the theatre. From there, he moved on to producing and writing his own works expanding into short film, voice acting, and internet venues. As president of his own production company, Mantapus Productions, he opened the door to complete creative freedom in his production and performance efforts. This path lead back to the live stage and to his most notable success, stand up comedy, where he currently tours nationwide.
Matt's body of work includes numerous theatrical appearances, the webseries "Simon Belmont's Vampire Hunting Podcast", co-host and co-writer on the internet radio show "Get Naked With The Threes", management of Mantapus.com and its corresponding youtube channel, and apperances in comedy clubs coast to coast including the World Famous Improv. He is also to appear in the action comedy "Kick Me", filming this summer.
