THE BACH CHOIR OF HOLY TRINITY
The Bach Choir is celebrating its 50th year this season as part of the Bach Vespers program at Holy Trinity, on Central Park West and 65th Street, known as the city's "temple to Bach" (The New York Times). Directed by Cantor Donald Meineke, The Bach Choir is praised for its vibrant, stylish sound and exceptional musicianship. The ensemble consists of the finest singers throughout the New York metro area, specializing in historical performance practices ranging from the 15th to 18th centuries.

The choir is featured in approximately twenty vespers performances each season in collaboration with period instrumentalists to bring the music of Lutheran composers such as Johann Sebastian Bach to life in devotional services. Beginning in 1968, the Bach Choir has presented the sacred choral works of North German Renaissance and Baroque composers, namely Johann Sebastian Bach and his predecessors and contemporaries, within the historic office of Vespers every Sunday evening. The twice Grammy-nominated choir has appeared in several films and television series and can be heard on numerous recordings. Visit www.holytrinitynyc.org for more information.
