A Gilbert and Sullivan Jewelry Box: The Best of The Worst; After The Carpet Quarrel; The finest music from Gilbert and Sullivan's The Grand Duke and Utopia, Ltd., and Cox and Box
Transgressive Theatre-Opera and The Gilbert and Sullivan Opera Companys co-production of a double bill of The Best of The Worst; After The Carpet Quarrel; The finest music from Gilbert and Sullivans "The Grand Duke" and "Utopia, Ltd.," and "Cox and Box" showcases arias, duets, quartets, quintets, and choruses from two of Gilbert and Sullivan's seldom-produced operettas, and a full production of the one-act gem, "Cox and Box," with music by Sullivan, libretto by F. C. Burnand. Performances will be offered both on the northside of the city, and in Hyde Park, on the beautiful campus of the University of Chicago.
