Fremont Arts Council Feast of the Winter Solstice
Please join us for the 24th annual Winter Solstice Feast to dine, dance and celebrate the longest night of the year and the return of the light! As always, the delicious food is potluck style: please bring a dish to share, and a bottle of whatever you would like to drink. The Fremont community and friends are gathering as always on the night of the Winter Solstice, to celebrate our long tradition, to bring food, spirits and our full hearts to share as we say goodbye to 2012 and welcome the new year.
To reiterate important information:
This event is a potluck! Please bring a dish to share, and drinks to share.
While we will have paper plates if necessary, we encourage you to bring your own special dishware.
Dress to impress; interpret this as you see fit!.
Children under the age of 16 do not need a ticket.
There will be gorgeous artworks and installations
Candlelit tables laden with potluck food
Amazing people dressed in beautiful costume
Three great dance bands
A New Year to welcome
And of course the ancient Mayan calendar comes to a close this night as well! 12,000 years is a long time and some imagine the world is coming to an end that night - and what better than to be with good friends, at the end of the world as we know it.
If possible, please help with entry flow at the door by printing your ticket at home!
Looking to volunteer? For four hours of work, volunteers receive a complimentary (and beautifully hand made!) ticket to the Feast. Please email Peter Toms at email@example.com to volunteer.
