THIS IS YOUR STAGE! with Alotta Boutte (San Francisco)
The Playful Peacock Showgirl Academy & The 2013 Minneapolis Burlesque Festival are proud to present Alotta Boutte!
Learn how to radiate onstage and command your audience with just a look in your eye or flick of your wrist! This class is designed to help you get into your skin so you can own the stage. Through dance and choreography, we'll explore what's it's like to be in your body, learn how it moves and what stage presence physically feels like.
Funny, educational, and good for all levels of movers, Alotta teaches you how to expand your presence and take up space while making you laugh, shimmy, shake, bump, grind, and have a damn good time. Wear your dance clothes. Heels welcome but not required.
Friday, Feb 1 * 11:00 am - 12:00 pm * $12 advance, $15 walk-in *
About the Instructor: Alotta Boutté got her start as a member of Harlem Shake Burlesque. In 2004 they won Best Troupe at Miss Exotic World, and Best Burlesque in both SF Guardian and East Bay Express. She has been featured in Curve and in Margaret Cho's Beautiful People blog. With Harlem Shake and as a soloist, she's had the privilege of gracing many stages across the country, including Starshine in NYC, Gurlesque Burlesque by the Sissy Butch Brothers in Chicago, Sensuous Woman with Margaret Cho, The Supperclub in San Francisco, Tease-o-Rama, and The Burlesque Hall of Fame.
