The Cat's Meow: Exhibition Reception and Speakeasy
YOU'RE INVITED to a special, one-time-only event celebrating a highly anticipated exhibition of 2017. Join the Northampton County Historical and Genealogical Society as we reminisce the fashion, sounds, and lifestyles of the roaring 1920s!
You can be the FIRST to see "The Cat's Meow: Lehigh Valley in the Age of Art Deco and the Roaring Twenties" exhibition at the Sigal Museum in downtown Easton.
"The Cat's Meow" tells the story of the Lehigh Valley during one of the most turbulent times in modern American history: the Roaring Twenties! Experience period music, fashion, movies, design and the everyday life of a Lehigh Valley resident during an era of rapid change. Artifacts on display range from flapper dresses and couture Parisian fashion sketches to an early impact drill used in modern construction.
The reception will feature: Magnolia Sadies as the Cat's Meow Dancers The Zach Martin Jazz Ensemble Complimentary absinthe tasting (while supplies last) Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres
This is a black tie event, but 1920s-themed wear is preferred.
