Teen Day @ PdA
Teens! Come to Place des Arts and get engaged in art, meet new friends and have a blast. Our Youth Arts Council hosts two fabulous art activities each season designed just for teens ages 13-17.
Admission is free!
Grab your BFFs and immerse yourself in art! Tour our galleries and view three diverse exhibitions, then explore your own artistic side in a variety of activities that are based on the subject matter and mediums of the exhibitions and are specifically designed to engage teens.
Teens can take part in the following drop-in activities:
- Miniature candles: Make creative decorative candle holders incorporating natural materials.
- Miniature scratch board drawings: Create an image by scratching off a layer of paint to reveal a coloured layer beneath.
- Lantern making with two guest artists: With two guest artists facilitating, create cultural lanterns to be included in Places des Arts community art installation. Learn to make a panda lantern with artist Flavia Chan, as well as a felted calla lily flower lantern with artist Catherine Dumaine.
