| Description |
| The Third Annual Barking Beauty Pageant expands to a two-city event with its Philadelphia premiere Sunday, March 16, 2008 from 4pm-6pm at L'Etage, Philly's favorite alternative cabaret space. With ActiveWear, GlamourWear, and Talent competitions, participating pooches will vie for a grand prize package that includes a fashion photo shoot from New York photographer Jo Lance. Category winners and overall runners-up will receive top prizes including gift certificates, designer apparel, and personalized pet paintings. Leslie Hughes, host of the American Miss National Pageant, will MC the event along with her Yorkshire Terrier, SalliSue. Ms. Hughes and SalliSue, decked out in matching outfits, will be joined by industry judges to name this year's winner. The event will also feature reigning New York City Barking Beauty Chloe the Chihuahua alongside her mother Carla Milo. The Barking Beauty Pageant benefits two non-profit organizations, Stone Soup Theatre Arts and a Philadelphia animal awareness organization, in a truly distinctive way. NOTE: No one under 21 years old will be admitted. |
