25th Annual Community Voice Awards & 43rd Anniversary Benefit Dinner
The International Examiner is the only nonprofit pan-Asian Pacific Islander (API) newspaper in the U.S. Since 1974, we have been a training ground for young journalists of color, striving to provide timely, accurate, and culturally sensitive coverage of relevant news, issues, and events for our local community.

Each year, we gather over a family-style meal to publicly honor exceptional leaders who serve and inspire our API communities. Our 2017 honorees are:

Rita Meher for Excellence in Arts

Lynette Finau for Excellence in Education

Sameth Mell for Excellence in Social Justice

Joan Yoshitomi for Lifetime Achievement

Diem Ly with the Tatsuo Nakata Leadership Award

Amerigroup Washington with the Community Business Award
