13TH ANNUAL SEATTLE JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL
MOM, I DIDN'T KILL YOUR DAUGHTER World Premiere Cinerama: Sunday, April 13th, 7:00 PM (Israel, 2007, 50 min, Hebrew) Director(s): Orna Ben Dor Lior and Yuval are a couple. Both were born women, but throughout their lives felt their true gender identity to be male and that the female bodies were alien to them. Now they are struggling to change what is thought unchangeable. Yuval, who has taken hormones regularly for seven years and undergone surgery, is fighting to have his identification documents say "male." Lior has commenced the process, and his mother has to embrace a new son instead of the daughter she raised for 22 years. A moving tale of transformation both physical and emotional.
