Future of Music Summit 2012: Seattle Interactive Webcast Viewing Party
The Future of Music Summit is happening in Washington, DC on November 13th and at this viewing party we will be watching the Summit via a high-quality, interactive webcast of most of the event from the comfort of the Brown Paper Tickets Community Room in Fremont - with snacks!
At Brown Paper Tickets, we think it's important to connect locally to federal level policy and the national music community. Many great efforts to do this happen in Seattle.
Here's an additional way to connect to the national work.
Summit speakers highlight cutting-edge research and showcase the latest
services, applications and business models, with a focus on how these
platforms benefit musicians. Future of Music Coalition (FMC) educates
stakeholders on the impact of these innovations and debate polices that
impact the music community in tangible ways. FMC embraces how all of these
elements are intertwined, with an eye towards practical solutions. Join us
at Brown Paper Tickets in celebrating the ongoing effort to make the future
of music a bright one!
Along with this "all-access" video stream, we encourage you to interact with
people in DC attending the summit and the speakers via the hashtag #FMC12 at Twitter, on the FMC Facebook event page and everywhere you find the feed. FMC will be doing their best to deliver questions to Summit participants wherever they find them on the day of, which means your voice on the issues will be heard in DC and across the web.
More information and a schedule of the Summit can be seen at www.futureofmusic.org.
