Breaking Bread w/ Temescal Brewing and Oakland Workers Collective
You are invited to the inaugural edition of Hog's Apothecary's dinner series Breaking Bread. Each dinner will feature a different local brewery and a local non-profit organization. We will host Breaking Bread on the last Sunday of each month.
Join us on Sunday of April 30th as we celebrate our Oakland community with Temescal Brewing, our neighborhood brewery, and the Oakland Workers Collective. We will be serving a three course meal paired with Temescal Brewing beers. Daniel Sotelo, our sous-chef here at Hogs is taking the helm on each Breaking Bread dinner. Danny will be working with the crew from Temescal to design a seasonal and locally-sourced menu to highlight Temescals deftly-crafted ales and lagers.
10% of the proceeds will be going to the Oakland Workers Collective, a non-profit benefiting day laborers in Oakland.
You will get a chance to meet the beautiful people behind both Temescal Brewing and Oakland Workers Collective.

The Hog's Apothecary:
We take great pride in using the bounty and beasts of farmers and brewers who employ only the highest standards of sustainability. Our menu features a regular selection of entirely house-butchered porcine delights and farm-direct produce that ideally complement our unique and meticulously curated local draft selection.
Temescal Brewing:
Temescal Brewing is a local brewery and beer garden in the beautiful North Oakland neighborhood after which we are named. We brew soft, subtle beer with our community in mind, and hope you'll stop by for a pint on our patio.

Oakland Workers Collective:
Since 2012, the Immigrant Rights and Empowerment program has promoted an integrated service approach that combats the root cause of malnutrition through our Oakland Workers Collective (OWC). The OWC, better known to workers as La Colectiva, is an established worker collective that creates pathways to safe and dignified employment for contingent workers at risk of exploitation and wage theft.
