Anne-Marie Mulgrew and Dancers Company's Home Season Concert
Known for its highly-imaginative and conceptual dance theater works, ANNE-MARIE MULGREW AND DANCERS COMPANY (AMM & DCO) presents its annual Home Season concert, Celebrating 31. The program features the premiere of One Minute Dances, (60 second dances for small spaces), re-imagined repertory works, and rarely seen Dance for Camera videos created in collaboration with Carmella Vassor-Johnson (longtime collaborator and video artist) and Anne-Marie Mulgrew (choreographer-director). Company dancers include Sean Thomas Boyt, Kate Lombardi, Ixchel Mendez, Leslie Ann Pike, Jorge Rullan and Olivia Wood. There will be a meet and greet with light refreshments with the company following each performance.
ANNE-MARIE MULGREW AND DANCERS CO (AMM & DCO) is an experimental modern dance troupe based in Philadelphia, PA. AMM & DCO was founded in 1986 by artistic director/founder Anne-Marie Mulgrew. It first full-length multi-media production Hard Facts and Stuffed Gardenias (1985-86) wowed audiences at Group Motion Multi-Media Theater (4th & South St.) with its movement invention and verve. Ms. Mulgrew has created 67 works for the company that have been seen nationally and in Canada. These productions have appeared on traditional and nontraditional stages, film/TV, and festivals.
