PASCAL'S TRIANGLE by Pamela Z and Donald Swearingen
Pascals Triangle, Pamela Z and Donald Swearingens new work of electroacoustic music and live interactive media, is inspired by the beauty, ubiquity, and indispensability of mathematics. Pascals Triangle is scored for sampled text & sounds, voice & electronics, viola, cello, spatialized multi-channel audio, and interactive video. The movements of this evening-length work will employ numbers, patterns, and structures derived from mathematical principles vignettes that evoke the poetic elegance of numbers. Z and Swearingin will be joined on stage by violinist Kate Stenberg and cellist Hannah Addario-Berry.
