Plein Air Watercolor Series

9 a.m. -12 p.m

Join artist Robert Sherrill for a six-part series in plein air landscape painting. Sessions will be held outdoors in the gardens, where the scenery of The Huntington offers endless variety and inspiration. Members: $210. Non-Members: $230.

This class is held in various locations on the grounds. Please check in with Huntington staff in the Banta Education Courtyard prior to class.

A supply list is below. Please bring to each day of class.

Watercolors paint: (Windsor Newton or Holbein are excellent)
Ultramarine Blue
Cerulean Blue
Cadmium Red Medium
Magenta
Cadmium Yellow Pale
Lemon Yellow
Optional: Any other colors are fine

Paper:
Watercolor paper, sheets or a Block. (Arches 140lb, cold press) around 9x12"
Watercolor palette, any you like. Holbein is good.

Brushes:
Sable or imitation sable brushes: 1 inch flat, #8round, #3 round

Additional:
Small water bucket
Water to clean brushes
Paper towels
Trash bag
Any Field easel, French easel

Optional:
Shopping Cart or Supplies Caddy
Hat
Bug spray
Sweater/Windbreaker
Drinking water
Sunglasses
Folding chair
Plein Air Umbrella

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Refunds will be issued only if cancellation is made at least 5 days prior to the event. Cancellations made within 5 days of the event will not be refunded.
