All YNPN National Leadership Conference 2006
WHO: All leaders of YNPN chapters (both affiliate and emerging chapters) across the country are invited to participate. We are expecting from 35 - 65 attendees.
WHAT: At their annual in-person retreat in the spring of 2005, the YNPN National Board of Directors decided that an all-person meeting would be a crucial and fun way to galvanize our nation-wide network, connect with each other and share technical assistance and programming tips. We are hoping to inspire a sense of ownership of the national organization and community for all YNPN Chapters.
Furthmore, we hope that we can focus some of our discussions on the need to make sure our network is diverse and inclusive of the many constituents we represent.
WHERE: The YNPN-SFBA Chapter has generously offered to host the inaugural event.
>>There is a nominal $40 charge ($20 if you register before January 31st) to help off-set some of the costs we'll have on that day, providing food and fun! Please let us know if you need a discount (email amiesf@sbcglobal.net or becca@rjewell.com).
Workshops & presenters:
1. Leadership/building board/board and volunteer recruitment (facilitated by Washington, D.C. chapter)
2. Marketing and outreach (facilitated by New York City chapter & Holly Minch)
3. Programs/Services/Engaging members (facilitated by Chicago chapter)
4. Tech/website maintenance (facilitated by National Tech Committee)
5. Finance/fundraising (facilitated by San Francisco Bay Area chapter)
6. Tax exemption options for YNPN chapters (facilitated by a National Representative)

The SFBA YNPN chapter will be hosting a party in the evening after the conference closes around 6pm. Look for an email with more information. For now, please make sure to pencil us in for that night and feel free to invite friends you may have in the Bay Area.
