Mothers Day at the Castle Green

Friends of the Castle Green hold a yearly Mother's Day Tour of the Historic Castle Green designed by Frederic Roehrig and built in 1898, a blend of Moorish and Mission revival architecture. Come and enjoy the building, relax on the grounds and take yourself back a century. Experience the Turkish and Moorish salons along with the Grand Salon. Many private apartments will be open to tour, each unique and distinct in layout and design and decorated with the individual tastes of the residents.

Yoshiko Yamamoto, color block printmaker featured in thePBS series Craft in America, will be printing her new print of the Castle Green throughout the afternoon.

TOUR AND MOTHERS DAY TEA $85
Back again this Year!! Make this day extra special for Mom by adding on the full service sit down Mother's Day Tea presented by Tea Rose Garden Tearoom in Old Town Pasadena and Perfect Equation Catering.
Come at noon and enjoy Tea in the Grand Ballroom. You will be served salad, classic tea sandwiches, pastries, scones, fruit compote and a desert plate along with a pot of seasonal tea. Keepsakes: A jar of Castle Green Marmalade or jam.
Advance reservations required.

Tour: 1-5 pm (rain or shine) You can arrive at your convenience throughout the afternoon

Please note the antique elevator will not be in service during the event. We are handicapable in all rooms of the first floor including tea service in the ballroom, restrooms, sunroom, grand salon, moorish and Turkish rooms, lobby, library and ballroom as well as from veranda and lawn. A ramp is located via the back driveway. Please contact us if you would like more information.

There are two Public Parking structures near the Castle Green with 90 minutes free; $6 max.
Street parking in area requires coins.
