With a vocal styling reminiscent of artists like Nick Drake and Jose Gonazalez, AM Stryker explores the depth of emotion that comes with love, loss, divorce, and death. AM Stryker's debut release, "The Lion's Share" was a stunning and heartfelt portrayal of that emotion, underscored by gently woven guitars and strings. "The Bold Sleep So Well" is a brave departure from the fragility of AM Stryker's earlier work. It indicates hard earned growth and knowledge of self. In collaboration with Josh McKay (Deleter, Farewell Continental) and Knol Tate (Deleter), AM Stryker creates lush arrangements of strings, keyboards and guitars all huddled around the precise and intuitive groove of drums and bass.
THE PERSON AND THE PEOPLE
For nearly a decade The Person and The People have been a fixture in the Twin Cities indie scene and their experience is evident not only in their enchanting, nuanced live performances but also in their seemingly endless arsenal of catchy rock songs. They have a preternatural ability to navigate seamlessly from crunchy, beer-drinking guitar riffs to wistful ballads to angsty break-up songs.
