KASANA Cooking Classes - Ana Docta
Would you like to get a sneak preview of one of the most creative new food businesses to open in Milwaukee? Do you like to explore new cuisines and learn new tricks for the kitchen?  This is your chance! KASANA now offers cooking classes every Monday night!

Each week we will welcome a different guest chef into our space to demonstrate how to cook some of their favorite foods. Guests will enjoy a sample of each dish created, paired with a tasting of wine or beer, to add to the tasting experience.

Monday, December 3rd

Guest Chef: Ana Doctoa

Ana Claudia Docta was born in Argentina.  Her parents both were cooks  her mother owned a small candy business and her father a small Italian traditional Ristorante.  At the age of 18, she moved to Brazil to pursue her career as a professional dancer, and later, in food.  After  achieving a degree in Marketing and Advertising in Brazil with additional studies in Hospitality administration in Brazil and Spain, she started her own Restaurant in Brazil. In 2000, Ana moved to the United States where she worked in several different kitchen management positions before launching her own business - Kasana Concierge Gourmet.  This small gourmet catering company  has now grown into KASANA Inc., which incorporates the catering, a  healthy to-go line, a shared kitchen, and the beautiful event spaces that houses our series of cooking demonstrations.

Menu

Ana will be preparing two of her favorite comfort foods from home. Since she has two homes in South America, Ana will prepare a traditional stew from each of them.  Learn about the regional variations that make two such different versions of the ubiquitous winter stew.  For dessert Ana brings us her mother's special potage of sweet potatoes and milk, a rich and delicious treat that helped to create many of Ana's warmest memories from childhood.
