Burlesco Notturno "Bust Out!"

Be dazzled by THE ATOMIC BOMBSHELLS when Seattle's perfectly choreographed professional troupe interweaves burlesque, drag, dance, theater and humor into an evening of Burlesco Notturno "Bust Out!" at Open Space for Arts and Community, Vashon Island.

Burlesco Notturno, an Open Space production, returns to the Vashon stage at 8 pm (doors open at 7 pm), Saturday, March 25 for your pleasure and delight, hosted by the one-and-only Glamour-iphic, mysterious Mme. X and her loyal lawyer. The incomparable, black slip beret band The Love Markets entertain with talent, charm and highly danceable tunes.

Southern sizzle meets the Pacic Northwest when the intrepid Atomic Bombshells with Kitten N' Lou (the World's show-busiest couple) unleash inspired combinations of vintage Bourbon Street striptease, show-stopping choreography and MGM-era glamour. "Packed with more dances than ever before, each dancer offers extraordinary talent and the evening includes multiple ensemble and duets," says Open Space Founder and Burlesco Producer Janet McAlpin. "This Burlesco marks our 12th Burlesco Notturno and our 14th Burlesque-style show on Vashon. We have loyal, happy audiences that keep coming back for more!"

Since their debut in 2003, at The Showbox in Seattle, with Burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese, this all-star troupe was featured at Tease-O-Rama, New York Burlesque Festival and Burlesque Hall Of Fame Weekend. In Seattle, The Atomic Bombshells were the first troupe to bring sold-out burlesque shows to The Triple Door, the city's oldest vaudeville venue Columbia City Theater and the Moore Theatre. Featured in local and international publications from Shanghai to Boston, The Atomic Bombshells also appeared on Emmy-Winning PBS program Full Focus.

Founded by original members of the Shim Sham Revue in New Orleans' historic French Quarter, and touted as the 'New York Yankees' of burlesque by the Boston Globe, Seattle Weekly says this about The Atomic Bombshells, "Armed with an astounding amount of talent, these phenomenal beauties pull out all the stops and pump out a show of sheer splendor where every inch of skin is cherished..."
