A Day in the Death of Joe Egg
Laughter and tears this holiday season! Public Dreams Theatre presents A Day in the Death of Joe Egg, featuring an all-star cast of Minneapolis favorites including Randy Schmeling, Lindsay Marcy, Miriam Monash, Dawn Brodey and Tom Karki. Not your usual holiday play, this side-splitting comedy tells the story of Bri and Sheila, a young British couple in the late 1960s struggling to raise their developmentally disabled child. They have survived on laughter for the last decade, but when houseguests arrive the darkness behind the jokes begins to emerge. Running November 30 - December 16, 2012, at Red Eye Theatre.
Parking: Limited free parking is available during performance times in the Emerson School lot on West 14th Street, between La Salle and Spruce. In addition, there is a pay surface lot across the street from the school, a municipal ramp 1-1/2 blocks away at Grant Street and Nicollet Mall, and both metered and free on-street parking spaces. Meters on Nicollet expire at 10 PM. Meters on 14th Street and LaSalle Avenue expire at 6 PM on weekdays and are free on weekends and holidays.
