Event
Search Party 2008
On May 31, 2008, starting at the fountain in Cal Anderson Park (Capitol Hill) at 1pm, geared with maps and cluebooks, teams of 2-4 will be unleashed to roam, walk, run and chase after challenging city clues throughout Seattles Capitol Hill neighborhood for Search Party 2008! Registration begins at 12noon. Registration fees benefit Seattle Inner City Outings 2008-2009 year of northwest outings. Racing against the clock, teams must guess, strategize, head-scratch, perform for, and ponder deeply to answer clues correctly. After the race, participants and the public are invited to the "Lost and Found" after-party with entertainment, prizes and refreshments.
Not familiar with Seattle Inner City Outings? We are an all-volunteer led program of the Sierra Club dedicated to a 16-year tradition of taking local city kids from diverse backgrounds and typically low-income neighborhoods on enriching and memorable outdoor experiences. The Search Party is central to our efforts to raise funds for trips, raise visibility of the program, and recruit for new leaders! Funds raised cover the costs of outdoor gear to lend to the kids, rental vans, and food for lunches and active-kid snacks. Additional information can be found at: http://ico.sierraclub.org/seattle/
