The Plaid Apron in Spout Spring Estates Vineyard!
Spout Spring Estates (SSE) is the largest producer of Cabernet Sauvignon wine grapes in Tennessee. Current efforts focus on production of high quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, and Riesling grapes for sale to wineries in Tennessee => http://www.tennesseewines.com/spout_spring.htm
This is going to be a FUN getaway! This vineyard is the best kept secret located in Blaine, TN, about 30 minutes drive from downtown Knoxville.
In this event, you will taste their own wines, tour the vineyard, and have a delicious meal prepared by Chef Drew McDonald from The Plaid Apron, which is the best place to eat in Knoxville!
Wine
No. The wine is not "sweet" like you think of. No. Their wine is not the typical "TN wine" You must come and taste them yourself!
Tour
It will be walking tour. Please wear something comfortable to walk. Bring any questions about growing grapes or making wines!
Dinner
The vineyard cannot serve wines for dinner, so bring your favorite wines for your delicious dinner!
We do have a covered porch with fire place and view of the vineyard in case of rain.
Chef will incorporate the wine into the meals also. We are expecting 3 courses, maybe 4!
