Hawkins, Indiana. 1983. A little boy is missing. Help us find Will: is he in the forest? Hiding in his secret cabin? Is that him calling? What is making those lights blink?

We're transforming a two-floor 10,000sq ft warehouse into an immersive environment directly inspired by Netflix' horror hit "Stranger Things." Enter the upside down...if you dare. Get lost in the forest (by artist Sara Jane Munford). Face off with a mind-reading government agent (Kent Axell). Jump into an epic Dungeons & Dragons game (run by The Brooklyn Strategist). Chill in the blanket fort. Eat all the Eggos. Join a seance to find the missing kids (Chelsea Goodwin). Dip in the sensory deprivation pool. Indulge in handcrafted absinthe (House of St Eve) and specially themed drinks.

Floor 1: All the Stranger Things above...plus live: Sxip Shirey and his Jank! Band (dirty electronics and live musicians, regurgitating old genres like early ska, early hip-hop, techno and house and playing it raw, glitchy and original); This Way To Egress (an explosion of sound and color thats equal parts unruly vaudeville, ebullient world beat band and three ring circus music). Master of dark ceremonies: mysterious sound magician Zeroboy. DJ in between and after bands: Lukeinternet.

Floor 2: An all-night demonic dance floor with our favorite DJs putting a spin on dark 80s classics and the Stranger Things soundtrack, mixed with our usual globe-hopping, eclectic and irresistible dance music. With: DJ Reaganomics, DJ Joro Boro, DJ Ceremony.

Costumes required for entry:
This is our annual love letter to all things dark and grotesque. Usual Masquerade Macabre style welcome: dark carnival, aberrations of nature, cabinet of curiosities, dark Victoriana, evil funhouse, steampunk, Jan Svankmaier & Brothers Quay films, Freaks, The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari. For "Stranger Things," think dark + 1980s: creepy forest creatures, aliens, Jason, ET, Chucky. Yes, all manner of Halloween costumes are welcome...but please remember: if we have to ask, it's not a costume (meaning: 1980s casual trying to be a Stranger Things kid won't cut it).

Press:
"Live music, dancing, absinthe and the dark arts" - The New York Times. "Late-night absinthe-fueled revelry, with dancing, circus arts, and a Victorian-inspired dress code." - The Village Voice. "Expect off-the-wall antics" - Huffington Post. "Denizens of the night...down absinthe until the sun rises." - TimeOut New York. "Absinthe-fueled debauchery." - Paper. "Vintage-inspired spectacle." - New York Press. "This quintessential New York experience, a costume-required masquerade ball, offers a cornucopia of pleasures guaranteed to keep you going all night (and morning) long." - Flavorpill. "Collection of artists who revel in all things exotic, sensual and creative." - Examiner

Photo policy:
Our events offer an amazing opportunity for capturing some of the most creative, colorful party goers in NYC. We allow cameras at nearly all events, but please ask if you want someone's portrait. If you're a professional photographer, get in touch -- we always offer free entry to photo & video professionals who send us their work after. This is what our parties look like and the kind of photographers we work with: http://www.flickr.com/groups/gemini_scorpio

*All ticket tiers offer the same access to the event. An additional $25 gets you a commemorative Masquerade Macabre hip flask engraved with the monster hybrid Victorian couple from our usual event flyer. The engraving is vintage-style blind etching, not the modern black laser. We like it classy. Flask pic: http://bit.ly/GS_flask
