Toi Derricotte is the author of five poetry collections, co-founder of Cave Canem, professor at the University of Pittsburgh and 2012 PEN/Voelcker Award Winner for Poetry. She will read from her work and selected Clifton poems, discussing the impact of Lucille Clifton on her writing and that of other poets.
A question & answer session will follow the reading along with a reception and book signing. The recently published The Collected Poems of Lucille Clifton: 1965-2010 will be available for purchase.
