North Berkeley's Gourmet Ghetto Wine Walk
Sample local small production wines (along with some craft beers and wine soda) and enjoy small bites at 20 participating businesses along Shattuck Ave. & Vine St. Bring friends for a fun evening to sip, stroll and shop for a good cause - proceeds will benefit the Martin Luther King Middle School and the ACLU!
Local and regional wineries are paired with participating neighborhood shops - hosting businesses will have a variety of special tastings think chocolate, gelato, nuts, soups, cheese, and other sweet and savory bites. Our businesses also will have special deals and happenings: M. Lowe & Co. Jewelry is hosting a show of Berkeley lithographer David Lance Goines posters with sales during the event will benefit the ACLU; and the recently opened AgroDolce Osteria Siciliana will have a special $30 prix fixe dinner (appetizer, entree and dessert) offer for attendees.
Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 day of the event. Check in at our sales/will call tent starting at 4:30pm on the day of the event for your map of participating shops and instructions. Price includes a commemorative Gourmet Ghetto tasting glass!
The event will feature wines from Fenestra, Lynda Tranel Wines, Stomping Girl Wines, Eden Canyon, Fat Grape Winery (sulfite-free!), Treasure Island Wines, Cline, Broc Cellars, Acacia, Kenwood. Our wine shops and eateries will be pouring favorites from their own selections.
