Invited
"Invited" is a collection of new and revised works from choreographers Caitlin Quinn and Beau Hancock. Quinns "Body Continuum," developed from her dancers stories, is a meditation on the physical impact of injury, childbirth and aging. Five women share the stage full of voluminous red fabric that shrouds the dancers, and transforms their figures into living sculpture. Hancock found inspiration for his work "Mooring Field" in the drifting rhythms of boats moored in Maine harbors. The repetitive, delicate choreography for Marie Brown and Melissa Chisena tethers the dancers to a single spot.
