In 1961 a movie star is committed to a Manhattan psych ward.
The doctor assigned to her case tries to keep her "for her own good," but the creative genius behind the movie star mask intuits the doctor's own forbidden desires and uses them against him: she will sacrifice anything to regain her freedom. Based on a true story.
