Miami Dade College's The Koubek Center presents: Argot Tango

A Valentines Milonga- Dance Party in the garden featuring live band, DJ'ed after party, dance instruction,
specialty food and cocktail vendors & more.

Composed of renowned musicians from Argentina and Uruguay, the Argot Tango Quintet boasts a repertoire that spans from traditional to modern, Gardel to Piazzolla, classics to original arrangements. The group is led by the legendary bandoneon player, Miguel Arrabal, who worked on Broadway under the direction of Astor Piazzolla, and is completed by seasoned tango musicians: pianist and arranger Jorge Vernieri, first violinist Elias Garnik, violinist Silvana Lanfredi and contrabassist Agustin Conti, and guest singer Mariana Quinteros.

8:00pm: Pre-concert dance lesson with Carolina Balmaseda followed by DJ Luigi

9:00pm: Argot Tango performance

Una noche de Milonga celebrando el dia de los enamorados.
Una serie mensual de conciertos y fiestas de baile,
con grupos de música en vivo y DJ, clases de baile,
comidas tipicas, cocteles y mucho más.

Compuesto de renombrados artistas de Argentina y Uruguay, el Argot Quinteto de Tango cuenta con un repertorio que abarca desde la tradición a la modernidad, Gardel a Piazzolla, clásicos con arreglos originales. El grupo está liderado por el legendario bandoneonista, Miguel Arrabal, quien trabajó en Broadway bajo la dirección de Astor Piazzolla, y es completado por músicos experimentados del tango: el pianista y arreglador Jorge Vernieri, primer violinista Elías Garnik, violinista Silvana Lanfredi y el contrabajista Agustín Conti, y la cantante invitada Mariana Quinteros
