Dare to Care - Dementia
The Magic Mad Hat offers a monthly session, introducing you to 'Dare to Care' - Dementia - a simple & effective effective way of combining caring for your self with the joy of caring for others, especially for those with Dementia.
Inspired and trained by Gesundheit! (Patch Adams), Clown one Italia, Clown One Japan as well as by many Improv & Clown teachers from London and the United States, Gudrun has established a joyful way of caring interaction while rekindle and deepen you love for yourself and the people you care for. The session is 2hrs long and you will be introduced to: The Laughing Body, the Listening Body : An invitation to rediscover our inner and outer Laughing Body, that jumps and plays, senses and appreciates itself and its environment. Its an invitation to explore our bodies through listening and interacting with others. This workshop focuses on tuning in with ones awareness and ones connection with the surroundings.
Improv for Dementia: This workshop will teach you simple, but very effective games, which keeps you in the present moment, take away the fear of 'failure', let you express yourself fully while reinforcing your cognitive abilities. This workshop also will illustrate ways to deeper connect with the person with Dementia through accepting & letting go of the need of 'being correct'.
The Art of Care: As a way to better understand ourselves, discover our body, and reflect on Care.
The first half of the workshop is dedicated to bring back your inner joy, freedom to express yourself and self- love.
The second half of the workshop is dedicated to use this joy & self- appreciation in order to care for others with deeper love, acceptance & understanding.
