Girl in the Goldfish Bowl
Meet Iris, an unnervingly astute, disturbingly mature 10-year-old who thinks nothing ever happens in her country, her city, her house - nothing, that is, until her beloved goldfish dies, marking the beginning of the Cuban missile crisis and the collapse of her family. Add the appearance of a mysterious stranger and you've got a quick-paced, heartbreaking dramatic comedy that builds with thoughtfulness, wit and despairing charm - and with that touch of the surreal that comes only with family.
