CANCELLED "Oh how I love you!" Connecting with the audience with Darlinda Just Darlinda
THIS CLASS HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT
In order to do what we do, we need the audience! There is hardly ever a fourth wall in burlesque: our fourth wall is "the tease." The Latin root of Entertain is "to hold" and as entertainers we must hold the audience and by doing that we love them! In this class you'll learn all the vital skills of loving and connecting to your audience, body language, internal dialogue and eye contact! Bring clothing you can move in and an open heart!
Darlinda Just Darlinda "Mastermind of Bizarre Extravaganza" has been working as a Burlesque Performer and Producer locally(NYC) and nationally since 2003. She's crossed over into performance art with her year long "life as art" projects, "The Year in Rainbow" and most recently "The Year in Dance." In Darlinda was honored to perform with Julie Atlas Muz at PS122 in The Divine Comedy of an Exquisite Corpse. Darlinda is a current faculty member at the New York School of Burlesque. In October of 2007 Darlinda participated in the Feminist Neo-Burlesque Symposium at The Central School of Speech and Drama at the University of London. The Village Voice calls Darlinda a "Mastermind of Bizarre Extravaganza." USA Today says "It's hard to top Darlinda"
