Noche de Corazón y Alma Teatro, Musica y Mariachis...for a good cause!An evening of musica y teatro to support Teatro Vivo's Community Outreach Program. Teatro Vivo, Austin's Latino-based theater company, invites you to Noche de Corazón y Alma 2012 on Saturday, August 25 from 7PM to 10PM at the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center 600 River Street Austin TX 78701. A gathering for all who support theater, the arts, and Latino culture featuring:- A performance from accomplished singer-songwriter Myrna Cabello.
- An open beer and wine bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, silent auction, y más.
- An opportunity to learn about the five productions in Teatro Vivo's 2012 - 2013 Season, Si Where It Takes You.
- A first time preview of a brand new bilingual musical for the whole familia, Mariachi Girl written by Roxanne Schroeder Arce and directed by Brant Pope. Mariachi Girl is a co production with ZACH Theatre, in partnership with the University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance. Learn more about this great collaboration and meet the playwright, director, actors and musicians who will come together to perform for over 4,000 students in Austin area schools in Fall 2012.

Advance tickets for Noche de Corazón y Alma are $25 per person or $40 per couple and are available online. Tickets will be available at the door for $30. All funds raised support Teatro Vivo's Community Outreach Program focused on making theatre accessible to low income students, seniors, and other members of our community who do not have access to the arts.
