The beautiful backcountry of San Diego County has attracted artists ever since gold and apples put the town of Julian on the map. Each year many artists open their doors to visitors on the Open Studios Art Tour. This year a dozen painters, photographers, sculptors, and jewelry designers have put out bright yellow signs to guide you to their workplaces. Tucked back into valleys and overlooking superb vistas, these studios are a visual delight, inside and out. A visit provides a chance to talk to artists about their work and the opportunity to buy a unique object - a piece of art that will bring back memories of a lovely autumn day as well as personalize your home.
The event is $10 per person (plus their carload of friends). This site is selling a voucher that will save you time on Saturday or Sunday. You may directly visit any studio on the tour with your voucher - on the day of the event and can then redeem your voucher for an event wristband. Additional wristbands may be purchased near the front porch of Julians Town Hall (corner of Main and Washington).
Wristbands give you access to visit all the studios on the tour.
