DE CAL, CANTO Y ARENA.
Of salt, song and sand there below we see a fountain, Of salt, song and sand my mountain drinks water from the new fountain.
The Salt...the guitar, the fire of the earth, the burning and passion of the kiss that we never shared, lives in our dreams.
The Song...el cante (song) polished by the current of water and wind which move and carry us away.
The Sand...el baile (dance), the earth firmly threshed that escapes from the hands, like life itself.
This is how we understand the name given to this flamenco project, de cal, canto y arena which we could say is the fountain of our emotions. Just as in life, there are these three elements which form us and leave us those unforgettable moments. The show explores the expression of these elements in the dance (baile), guitar (toque) and song (cante) with the use of projections where the public can see the significance found with the palos (flamenco forms) selected. With the use of different percussive effects and assorted illumination the idea of the three elements is emphasized.
DE CAL, CANTO Y ARENA.
(De cal, canto y arena, allá abajito se ve una fuente, de cal canto y arena donde bebe mi serrana , agua de la fuente nueva.)
La cal la guitarra, el fuego de la tierra, ardor y la pasión de los besos que nunca dimos y que soñamos.
Cantoel cante pulido por la corriente del agua y del viento, que se mueve y que nos lleva.
Arenael baile, la tierra firme desgranada que se escapa de las manos como la vida misma.
Y así entendemos en este proyecto flamenco su propio nombre de cal, canto, y arena, que podríamos decir son la fuente de nuestros sentimientos. Como en la vida son esos tres elementos los que nos producen y nos dejan momentos que no olvidaremos. En el show buscamos la expresión de estos elementos en el baile, el toque y el cante con el uso de proyecciones donde el público puede ver los significados que queremos buscar con los palos elegidos, con el uso de diferentes efectos de percusión para enfatizar esa idea de los tres elementos y con el uso de iluminación general en cada elemento.
