Moosehead and Five Deadly Improvisors (SF Improv Festival 2012)
Moosehead "Like a Tennessee Williams play in space." - Sir. Douglas McKay Moosehead is equal parts Comedy, Tragedy, and Absurdity... and that's just Guillermo! San Francisco's premier performers of the Monoscene will take you on an improvised emotional journey as you watch the lives of five ordinary seeming people utterly self destruct in about 30 minutes. Five Deadly Improvisors: In the summer of 2011, five improvisers, who each were accomplished in the San Francisco improv community, had an idea for a new improv group. The goal: to create an ensemble that would perform fully improvised classic Kung Fu movies. The main trait that would distinguish this group was realistic looking stage Kung Fu combat, amble physical movement, dynamic environments, and active chases. The shows are a serious evocation of the genre, not to parody. They have an epic feel. The stories are classic battles of good versus evil, and love lost and won.
