Meet the Chocolatier: Lionel Clement of Nuubia Chocolat
Come meet Lionel Clement, award winning chocolate-maker at Nuubia Chocolat. Learn about his company and approach to chocolate making and enjoy a tasting of his chocolates that are included in the new CocoaBella Chocolates Best of the Bay collection.
Nuubia Chocolat was founded in 2009 by Alexandra Saunders with a mission "to inspire an appreciation in others for consuming fine chocolates and protecting the ecosystems from which our ingredients are derived."
Lionel Clement is a frequent participant in chocolate competitions and has claimed several awards including winning the USA National selection for the World Chocolate Masters in New York City in 2008, placing 2nd among 20 of the finest chocolatiers in the world at the World Chocolate Master Final in Paris in 2009, and recently being honored as Pastry Live's 2011 Chocolatier of the Year.
Nuubia's bonbons are new to CocoaBella Chocolates and they can be found in CocoaBella's new Best of the Bay collection and on the counter of our Union Street boutique. The Best of the Bay collection brings together bonbons from five of the finest chocolatiers from the San Francisco Bay area.
