Staging Shakespeare in a War Zone: Values and Consequences
Qais Akbar Omar, author of A Night in the Emperor's Garden, will speak on his experiences staging Loves Labours Lost in Kabul in 2005, the first production of the Bard in Afghanistan in 30 years. A small reception at 5 p.m. will be followed by Mr. Omars lecture at 5:30 p.m., and finish with a book signing.
