On the Twentieth Century - In Concert! - A Benefit for The Matthew Naegeli Scholarship Program
Based on a play by Ben Hecht and Charles MacArthur, and also a play by Bruce Milholland, ABQ Stages and the Adobe Theater present a concert staging to benefit The Matt Naegeli Scholarship program. This musical - part operetta, part farce, and definitely comedy - takes place on a train, the Twentieth Century Limited to New York. When down-on-his-luck Broadway impresario Oscar Jaffe meets his discovery and former flame, Lily Garland, on the glamorous 20th Century Limited train, he uses every scheme at his disposal to win the movie star back both professionally and romantically. However, Lily along with her new beau Bruce and Jaffe's rival producer Max Jacobs, who hired Lily to star in his latest play, have other plans.
