Kathleen Murray's Santa Cruz Album Release Show
Join us for the release of Kathleen Murray's second album, Desert Dream, at the vibiest venue around. Opening up the night with Mimi Gilbert and local band, Getaway Dogs.

Kathleen Murray has been writing songs for over a decade. Her approach has evolved but remains true to its roots, as a form of process. Inspired by the farmlands and forest surrounding Santa Cruz, California where she grew up, her music wrestles with the duality of simple truths and spiritual unrest. Released in 2014, her debut album Woodland Voices talks about her process of self-discovery, search for authenticity and learning how it's not always bold to be alone. In her upcoming album almost two years later, Kathleen evaluates the differences between hard times and change in a collection of songs that display wisdom beyond her 22 years.

Mimi Gilbert, 23, raised in Ojai, California, is a singer- songwriter, who's music continues to grow a humble following around the world with songs that tell stories and with a voice that carries soul and understanding.
Whether performing with a band or solo, Mimi creates layer upon layer of a raw, indie folk prevailing sound that simply burst with life, journey and experience.

Getaway Dogs
Santa Cruz based group Getaway Dogs stemmed from the release of a solo project by Bay Area native Kai Killion. After recording his debut album, Mermaid Legs and Getaway Dogs, an acoustic fusion of Indie rock, hip-hop, and Brazilian music (Kai's mother hails from São Paulo and he spent a year of his childhood in Rio De Janeiro), Killion put together a band to play live, electric versions of his original songs. Getaway Dogs now performs around Santa Cruz and the Bay area where they continue to gather an ever expanding fan base.
