Le Mesnil Champagne Pop Up at Trapeze
How often do you get to sample world class champagnes? How about sampling world class champagnes without breaking the bank? Barbette's new bubbles and toasts bar, Trapeze, will host a champagne tasting with premier importers Alain and Oliver Bourguet on Friday, April 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Enjoy four of their finest champagnes along with small bites from Chef Kevin Kathman for $32.
Alain and Oliver Bourguet got their starts at schools in the UK and New York with careers in international marketing, but family ties in the Champagne region of France eventually called them home. Today they are principals for the export department at Le Mesnil, an influential village of vineyards at the heart of the prestigious Côte des Blancs, named for the omnipresence of superb white wines.
All of Le Mesnil's vineyards are classified as Grand Cruan ultra rare and sought after distinction meaning the wines they produce are among the best of the best.
